SOS Domestic Violence Summit Oct. 4
Assessment and Risk Management are the focus of the 11th Annual Domestic Violence (DV) Summit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at the Flint Hills Technical College, Emporia.
Presenting at seminar is David Adams, co-founder and co-director of Emerge, the first counseling program in the nation for men who abuse women, established in 1977.
You will be provided up-to-date information and perspective about risk markers for domestic homicides and serious assaults and to help identify more comprehensive and safe practices for assessing danger, protecting victims and monitoring batterers.
Interest points include: profiles of killers, responding to victim concerns, interviewing a dangerous suspect, assessing and managing high-risk clients.
